Repeat the same process, but this time for Google Play Services which you will find under Apps only. You might be asked to log in to your Google account again when you open Play Store. Once inside, I would recommend you to first Force stop the app and then tap on Clear data to Clear all data (this will delete data and cache). To clear old data and cache, go to Settings and open Apps, and find Google Play store. Play Store might be misbehaving due to some leftover data or cache memory. See if that fixes the Play Store download pending error or not. In that case, it is a good idea to try and disable your VPN connection. I mainly use it to increase my Internet speed, marginally, and block ads.Ī recent update might have broken something. Some people also use a VPN that unlocks access to the region-restricted sites. People who are concerned about their privacy may be using a VPN. Note that sometimes, toggling the Airplane mode off/on can also help restore balance to the universe. I would also suggest you toggle the data plan off and back on once to see if it fixes the error. In that case, connect to a different Wi-Fi network or ask your friend to start his mobile hotspot. On a horrible day, it may also happen that your mobile data plan is not working or is too slow to download apps. See if toggling the Wi-Fi button helps you download the app using your mobile data plan. Your Wi-Fi is not working as intended or is terribly slow due to some error. You can then download the app you want first before resuming with the update. To cancel downloading an app, tap on the ‘x’ button or tap the Stop button to cancel all downloads at once. To counter that, open the Play Store, tap on the menu icon, and select My apps and games. However, the app you are trying to download may be in a queue, and hence you see the download pending error. The Play Store downloads and installs the latest version of apps on your device automatically. Let’s take a look at all of them one by one below. That happens when you initiate a download on the Play Store, and under My apps and games, you see this error with an option to cancel the download. But what happens when you are unable to download apps? Quite a few Android users often complain about the Google Play Store download pending error that they see while trying to download their favorite apps. I'll report back and tell if you all if the new phone has the same problem or not.Īlso, not sure if this matters but I also have a Galaxy Watch paired to this phone and that's the only thing that I have ever paired to this phone on bluetooth. The Google Play Store is the legit and official spot for downloading apps on your Android smartphone. My phone is still under warranty so I'm getting a new one tomorrow. Do whatever you need to, when done re-enable bluetooth. After disabling, reboot the phone, then go into the play store. You can't just disable bluetooth and go into the play store. BUT as soon as I re-enable bluetooth and go back into the play store and try to download something, it goes back to the same crap, gets to 99% or sometimes even 100% downloaded and basically just sits there forever it feels like and does nothing. here's the catch to that, I can install 1 or 25 apps after the reboot if bluetooth remains disabled, I can update apps fine too. EVERYTHING IN THE PLAY STORE INSTALLS FINE!!!!. Left all updates for Google App installed and left the application enabled since it didn't seem to affect it anyway.Ģ. Next I tried disabling the Google App altogether, then clearing cache on Play store app, then rebooting. I first tried uninstalling updates for Google App, then clearing cache on Play Store app, then rebooting. I have no explanation to why this works but I can confirm 100% this is the problem. I narrowed it down to bluetooth as some others have suggested. This did not work for me but here is what did.
